Before Dawn: There's Silver Threads
There's silver threads across the sky,
New morning wonders, there up high.
We look for daybreak, ponder why,
Some people live, while others die.
And glimmer over waters cold.
The swooping gulls, fresh fish, soon hold,
Their young to feed, a quest so bold.
Begins its path, a daily run,
As if its trek through life begun;
Somehow a race that's always won.
