Just to Make You Happy: How to be Happy at Christmas

This Christmas, don't be sad.
Just celebrate; be glad.
New happiness, you'll find
If you have peace of mind.
Enjoy a new delight,
A Christmas that is white.
Go find the Christmas star;
It's there where'er you are.
State you believe in God;
A prayer before you nod.
Find the heart of Christmas;
Christ is the true isthmus.
Unburden all your woes
And see how Christmas goes.
A Santa letter write;
'Twill give you such delight.
Send Christmas cards and more
To those who you adore.
Now bake a Christmas cake
And shortbread cookies, make.
Phone someone who you miss;
Long distance, hug or kiss.
Be Santa in yourself;
Hide presents on the shelf.
Play Christmas music, sweet;
Create a brand new treat.
Enjoy a child's new toy;
Create one for a boy.
Knit a Christmas stocking
With Santa's elves stalking.
Play angels-in-the-snow
With youngsters all aglow.
Wrap up a present, few
With bows all made by you.
Go looking for a tree
And decorate with glee.
Hang candy canes galore,
New treasures at the store.
Prepare a turkey too,
A mincemeat pie for you.
Sing carols with your choir
And hang a Christmas star.
Go skating on the ice;
Prepare a pudding, rice.
Hang stockings by the fire
And if you can, retire.
Prepare for family,
New blessings all to see.
Bright wreath upon your door,
A soft rug for the floor.
Perhaps just make a quilt;
A doll house to be built.
Do acorns, nuts and spice
For someone really nice.
Go find some mistletoe;
True Christmas spirit show.
Place holly everywhere
To show you really care.
The Christmas story tell.
Make certain all stay well.
Leave cookies and some milk,
A bright bathrobe of silk.
Do every thing with love
And be blessed from above.
This Christmas, happy be,
As carol bells ring free.

Do things to make others and yourself happy at Christmas.
