Kids and Christmas: There Will Be Christmas
Said Timothy, the squeaky mouse.
Yes, Santa Claus will come here, too.
I know exactly what to do.
A Santa letter, I will write
And snowflakes send, to bring delight.
A Christmas tree, with gifts for all;
Hot chocolate for friends who call.
A teddy bear at ev'ery house,
Crackers and cheese for ev'ry mouse.
A star for Jesus, hanging high,
With bells to ring, as angels fly.
And I may write a Christmas book,
Hang Christmas cards in ev'ry nook.
Bake Christmas cake, make candy too,
Put up some lights for others, you.
My very best attire, I'll wear
And show to others, that I care.
I'll hang a wreath upon my door,
Perhaps a new one, from the store.
I'll find old treasures; make them new,
Perhaps I'll share a game or two.
With songs to sing and bells to chime,
Perhaps I'll pen a brand new rhyme;
And Santa's elves deserve a break;
Maybe for them, a Christmas cake.
The fireplace with a nice, warm fire
And stockings filled with heart's desire.
I'll need some help to do all this.
Now may I have a Christmas kiss?
