A Christmas poem for children
dear,
For young and old who gather
near.
A star that's shining, oh, so
bright!
There's something happ'ning on
this night.
White Christmas with snow
angels, small,
Santa's reindeer, presents all.
A tree that's trimmed, so
perfectly
And church bells chiming,
beautifully.
A choir that sings and brings
delight,
'”Joy to the World”, “O Holy
Night”;
Baby Jesus, a manger where
Mary and Joseph ensure His
care.
Shepherds and sheep, the cattle
moo;
Little lambs are bleating too.
Three wise men came on camel's
backs
With gifts; others followed in
their tracks.
Baby Jesus, where is He?
It was not long; all forced to
flee.
But celebrations continue on.
Rebirth of man with each new
dawn.
Peace on earth and blessings
true;
All Christians know the story's
true.
So children too, must all be
told
Why celebrations still unfold
Around the world, yes,
ev'rywhere;
God is so good and He's still
there.
Awaken all of those you love
And hearken to His truth above,
Beyond the realm of earthly
pain
And celebrate, yet once again.
Love is the reason Jesus came.
Give thanks to God and praise
His name.
Love is the reason for Christmas celebrations.
