Adrift,
Alone,
Floating on a sea of words,
I cannot sink.
I cannot fly.
The waves.e'er tossing to the
sky,
My muse to depths;
It cannot die,
Just rise and fall
With winds so high.
Awaken muse
And know thy plight,
As darkness brings
The black of night.
Awake to joy,
To love unbound.
Let love and lovers,
Thus, surround.
Thy words do not appear in
vain.
You're sheltered from the wind
and rain.
So what if others prove insane.
The worth of knowledge, yet
proclaim.
Let truth abound and love
prevail.
I've given thee the tallest
sail.
No floating with the
rising tide,
Or under cover seek to hide.
Be free,
Float on
And waken with the early dawn,
To new worlds yet to man
unknown.
My muse has thus, its task been
shown.
Awaken the muse to its task.
